What does it cost to hire a personal trainer?

Personal training has become an incredibly popular tool in the modern world of health and fitness, primarily due to the hands on experience and accountability that it often provides. It also can be a significant personal investment to hire the right trainer and training company.


As a result, one of the most common questions that we get is "What does it cost to hire a personal trainer?"


This article serves as a transparent guide to understand what it costs to hire a personal trainer with Next Generation Personal Training, and more importantly what you get for the price you are paying.


Our Pricing


To keep things simple and transparent, we can start off by sharing that at minimum, the cost for one of our expert trainers to build a unique program is $100/month with no commitment.


However, the majority of our clients choose to engage in one-on-one training sessions with their coach on a routine basis. These clients on average pay somewhere in the range of $200-$600/month (all with no contracts or commitments). Rather than charge $X/session, our clients pay one monthly fee that also includes baseline nutritional guidance, accountability, and a dedicated coach, all based on the duration and number of sessions per month you choose to train.


So where do you fall? There are a number of factors that help to determine the best program and approach for each individual beyond budget alone. For example, we offer 1/2 hour and 1 Hour sessions, pricing based on trainer experience, advanced nutritional coaching, and based on your level of independence your ability to self-perform sessions outside of your time with your coach.


Complementary Consultation


Because of the level of detail and thought we put into each client, we offer a complementary consultation with our head coach to narrow down what package and price is the best fit. This is not a sales pitch, and is strictly informational to help potential clients, as well as our team, determine if we are a good fit to work together.

Trial Session


After your consultation, another significant benefit of working with Next Generation Personal Training is the free, 1 hour trial session with one of our coaches to get a feel for our style of training. The coach you work with will have been thoughtfully determined based on the information gathered during your consultation.


Enrolling in Training


After you've completed both your consultation and trial session, you will have recieved all of the information and pricing needed to determine if you wish to pursue a relationship with Next Generation Personal Training. Enrollment is done via email and with zero pressure, to ensure that you feel confident in your decision to work with us. Once you start, training renews monthly for as long as you need us, but never with any contracts that lock you in.


How we do things


Our goal at NGPT is to be able to go above and beyond with servicing our clients, all while staying competitive in the market. One of the ways we do this is through education. We offer educational workshops on all different topics related to fitness. We believe that an informed/educated client is ultimatley going to be a succesful client. We also utilize a highly customized fitness app to guide our clients through all aspects of their fitness journey. This includes a variety of fitness services and is also where our clients will be able to track progress, go through thier custom workout program, and follow their nutritional guidelines (other features listed below):


  •  Personalized macronutrient breakdown for your individual goal & training phase (if purchasing nutrition or training)

  •  Accountability coach

  •  2-4 workouts per week with a qualified trainer (if purchasing one on one training)
